My name is Busisiwe Mahabane and I became part of the Maths Centre CBE project in 2016 and my academic life changed for the better. Being a participant of the CBE project encouraged me to be more focused, determined and committed to my studies. It also made me invest a lot of my time and energy into my studies.

When I was in the middle of writing my trial examinations, I noticed how calm and confident I was when writing almost all of my papers. And in fact, I never encountered any difficulties whatsoever. I used the Maths study guide and previous exam papers which were provided to me by my CBE teacher. The material really helped out because I went into the exams prepared and knowing what to expect with the exams.

I know that an opportunity of being chosen to be one of many participants comes only once in a lifetime. I do not regret ever participating or putting my effort in this project. I strongly recommend this project to my siblings. If it happens that I get another opportunity like this at any level, I will grab it with both hands and make sure that I outdo myself.

After I performed so well with my trial examination I was very confident that I will perform exceptionally well with my final exams and   get four distinctions. I ended up getting 3 distinctions, 81% in Mathematics and 81 in Physical science. Being part of the CBE project is a privilege and my dreams have been made a reality. I am currently studying Electrical Engineering (diploma) at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.  I am so grateful to the Maths Centre for choosing our school and CBE for funding the project. Thank you for making my dreams come true, the job you are doing is amazing.

I am so proud to say that the Maths Centre and CBE played a huge rule in helping me accomplish such impressive results. I am very grateful. Thank you.

Thank you
