My name is Kuhle Tshemese and I did my high school learning at Alphendale High. I have always been one of those learners that dreaded mathematics classes, activities, tests and examination papers. I used to believe in “just passing” them with an average mark. All I can say now is that, give me anything Maths related and you have made my day.

Maths Centre has given me the confidence to enjoy Maths in its complexity, to analyse and apply with accuracy. I’m grateful to ABSA for funding the program in East London. The teaching was of quality; we understood and were given the best. Thank you ABSA and thank you Maths Centre, you have helped propel a young girl to where she needs to be.

I managed to pass my matric very well and the Thuthuka Bursary fund is currently funding my education. I am studying BCom Accounting at Rhodes University.
